John 17:15

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

Jesus did not want to pray against God’s original plan for man to populate the earth, but rather He prayed that God would keep the righteous from evil.

The Hebrew term “To keep” is “tereo,” which means to guard, keep, observe, and reserve. God is watching over you.

The Hebrew term for “evil,” used in this passage, is “poneros,” which means full of labors, annoyances, and hardships. It also refers to disease, or bad condition, and… the devil himself.

Your life is not meant to be a hardship, full of labors, but, as Sons of God, we are called to advance the Kingdom. You have been given power over all the power of the enemy… use it.
